Your First Visit

At the first visit to our office, information is gathered that will aid our orthodontist in assessing the need of treatment. This information includes a medical/dental history, clinical examination and consultation. You will be given an opportunity to discuss with our specialist any of your questions and concerns. Usually at this visit, the doctor will give a general idea regarding the type of treatment needed, and our treatment coordinator will give you an estimated cost, if treatment is recommended. The final decision regarding treatment will be made following taking of diagnostic records.

Orthodontic Records

Diagnostic records are generally made subsequent to the exam to determine the best course of treatment. Complete diagnostic records include plaster study models of the teeth, photos of the patients face and teeth, and x-rays. Records are also helpful in tracking the progress of treatment as the teeth move under orthodontic care.

Speed Braces are the high tech braces that Dr Moheb uses exclusively. They store energy and provide comfortably gentle and consistent light forces on the teeth to align them faster than traditional "old school" braces. High tech braces are the future and Speed has patented the exclusive rights to their energy clip.

No bracket in the world can do what Speed Braces do.

Speed Braces are so small --- 1/3 the size of traditional braces

Speed Braces are so smooth --- rounded and aerodynamic contours are less irritating to your mouth and easier to keep clean

Speed Braces are so efficient -- you don't have to come back and retighten your braces every 3-4 weeks like "old school" braces. With Speed braces you can sometimes even go 10-12 weeks without any adjustment to your braces at all. Imagine how comfortable you will be and not have to miss as much school and work.

Braces for Children

It is recommended by the American Association of Orthodontists that it is best for the Orthodontist to see children by age 7 to advise if orthodontic treatment is required and when is the best time for that patient to be treated. The first permanent molars and incisors have usually come in by that time and crossbites, crowding, and other problems can be evaluated. When treatment is begun early, the orthodontist can guide the growth of the jaw and guide incoming permanent teeth. Early treatment can also regulate the width of the upper and lower dental arches, gain space for permanent teeth, reduce the need for permanent tooth extractions, reduce likelihood of impacted permanent teeth, correct thumb-sucking, and eliminate swallowing or speech problems. In other words, early treatment can simplify later treatment.

Here is a list of No-No's with braces every patient should be aware of:

Regular Appointments

The appointment when you get your appliances (braces, expanders, etc.) Usually takes from one to two hours. After that it's time to enjoy your high tech braces. Remember, the braces we use at our office are top of the line and work differently. So instead of going to the average orthodontic office with old style braces and needing to go in every 3 to 4 weeks to get your braces tightened again.....NOT HERE!  You'll see us at regular intervals 6 to 8 weeks apart for an adjustment and some patients even can go 12 weeks without needing another adjustment! Plus, the visit only takes 10-15 min on average. What a luxury of not getting off of work or school all the time! We make every effort to be on time for our patients and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately. Cancel only if it is an emergency. It is difficult to reschedule you since most appointments are made 6 weeks in advance.

Payment & Office Policies

The cost of treatment depends on the severity of the patient's problem. We want you to get the treatment that you need so we help make this process painless and easy. Our prices are straightforward and all inclusive. No hidden fees and no surprises! You will be able to discuss fees and payment options before treatment begins. We have flexible payment plans to suit different budgets, and we make every effort to try and find a plan that works for you. As a courtesy, we also accept assignment from many insurance plans and file the necessary papers to the insurance company. We work hard to make orthodontics affordable.

If you have insurance, as a courtesy, we will help you determine the coverage you have available. We ask that you assign your insurance benefit to us. The balance will be arranged for you to pay. Professional care is provided to you, our patient, and not to an insurance company. Thus, the insurance company is responsible to the patient and the patient is responsible to the doctor. We will help in every way we can in filing your claim and handling insurance questions from our office on your behalf. We accept most PPO insurances.

Affordable and Flexible Payment Options

  • Cash, personal check or Money Order
  • Credit Cards: We accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa
  • Debit Cards: Visa, MasterCard, and Flexible Spending Debit Cards
